Erratum to Schønecker, 2007:

Yesterday (30th March, 2007) I finally managed to get a copy of the 1998 abstract which Meers and Ödberg maintained that our papers Schoenecker and Heller (2001, 2003) erroneously had interpreted as if it documented an interaction between gender and treatment. As we wrote in our papers: "..according to Ödberg and Meers (1998), inhibitory effects of a SSRI might be expected in females and perhaps the opposite in males."

After finally having seen the abstract personally, I must conclude Meers and Ödberg is absolutely correct in their critique of this point and I have consequently send them an apology for this peculiar misquote.

The abstract do not mention "gender" at all - simply demonstrate how Fluoxetine works on a sample of eight voles in total. Since Meers and Ödberg 2005 involved 24 voles I find it likely that the authors in fact made additional experiments after they had prepared their abstract. However, I do maintain my other views, as expressed in Schonecker 2006; 2007.

As I understand it (Ödberg, pers. comm.), the abstract will eventually be uploaded on this homepage if you should be interested in having a look. Sofar no PDF have been uploaded (November, 2007), so interested parties have to ask the authors for a PDF.
